Imphal, December 11 2021:
Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur State Branch organised AMAMECON 2021 in connection with the 37th All Manipur Medical Conference at IMA hall, Lamphelpat on Saturday.
JNIMS director Dr Deben Singh Laishram attended the inaugural function of the conference as chief guest and IMA Manipur State Branch president Dr S Jugindro Singh as president; while IMA North East Standing Committee chairman Dr Pragnesh Joshi and IMA national vice president Dr E Ravindra Reddy were present as guests of honour.
In his speech, Dr S Jugindro mentioned the various activities taken up by IMA Manipur.
The state branch was the first in the country to closely monitor home isolation cases, aside from being the first to organise the first national level discourse on 'Health Effects of Climate Change'.
For this year, AMAMECON-2021 is being organised for two days to encourage the people and the doctors to use cycles for good health.
The campaign will be then taken up at the national level after collecting opinions from doctors and students.
Two national observers are takingpart in AMAMECON 2021, he conveyed.
