Books including translation released

Imphal, December 11 2021:
MM Ahamed's books titled 'Yekkhraba Mayi' and 'Pangal Chanuralaktagi' were released during a function held at Manipur Hindi Parishad hall here on Saturday.
The release function organised by Writers' Union Imphal was attended by Sahitya Akademi awardee BM Meisnamba as chief guest, Union president Dr Sayed Ahamed as president and DM College of Arts, department of philosophy head Dr Kh Gokulchandra Singh as guest of honour.
During the function, the two books were sold at 50 per cent off.
Manipur Literary Association (MALA), Jiri also released the same books of MM Ahamed at PNB building conference hall near Jiribam super market with Manipuri Short Story Society India president Ingudam Binod Singh, MALA advisor Dr Chandam Komol Singh, Assam Manipuri Muslim Youth Front advisor Abdul Hamid, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Jiribam vice president K Babaton Singh and Binnakandi Cachar Assam Gaon Panchayat ex-president Khairun Nesa as the presidium members.
On the other hand, The Cultural Forum Manipur released translation of Mulk Raj Anand's novel 'Untouchable' into Manipuri by Heikrujam Shyamsunder Singh as 'Shokna Yadaba Mee'.
The function held at Old Assembly auditorium was attended by eminent scholar Longjam Joychandra and Forum president Huidrom Bihari Singh as presidium members.
Sahitya Akademi translation prize awardee Laimayum Birendrakumar Sharma spoke about the book during the function.
