National conference on modern Science and indigenous knowledge held

Imphal, December 11 2021:
A two day National conference on "Modern Science and Indigenous Knowledge: Contenders or Collaborators in a Common Mission" was organized by Bethesda Khankho Institute (BKI) in collaboration with Indian Institute of Science and Religion (IISR) Delhi and Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) Shillong at St Paul's Retreat Centre, Mantripukhri on December 9 and 10 .
The conference was inaugurated by Archbishop Dominic Lumon DD, Archbishop of Imphal and keynote address was delivered by Fr Prof Job Kozhamthadam, Executive Director of Indian Institute of Science and Religion, New Delhi.
A luminary of scholars from theology and secular fields working on indigenous culture and knowledge presented papers.
The conference explored the links between modern science and indigenous knowledge with a view to strengthen active and creative cooperation between the two for building up a sustainable society.
The conference was attended by scholars and eminent experts from Delhi, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Manipur.
