Maram Welfare Imphal celebrates Advance Christmas

Maram Welfare Association, Imphal on Saturday celebrated Advance Christmas and Annual Gathering at Awungching.
Addressing the gathering, Kamjong DC, Rang Peter, IAS, narrated how Maram families in Imphal grew from just 4 to 5 households to more than 50 households with many students in Imphal areas.
He encouraged the Maram students, officers, employees & business groups to learn positive traits from other communities residing in Imphal valley.
He also advised the student's community to be competitive in studies and promote unity with all the communities.
"May this festive season bring us forgiveness to each other with love, peace and joy", he concluded.
While extending his festive greetings, former Minister Francis Ngajokpa said, "It is time to rejoice as we celebrate Christmas with hope, peace, love & joy" .
SBI Porompat, Chief Manager, N Kangba thanked the organizers for bringing together the community under the festive theme.
"Many branded companies have phased out today because they could not adapt to the fast changing technologies and innovation like the internet which has become an indispensable part of modern society", he said.
Th Sanglou Maram, MFS, Assistant Commissioner Taxation praised God for blessing the Maram people with many renowned personalities, officers, politicians, academicians and leaders.
The event moderated by RK David Lungbi was also attended by Assistant Professor Manipur University, Dr L Pungding.
Branch Manager, United India Insurance Luikang Mathew RK gave the vote of thanks.
During the event, celebrated singers Margaret Ngiimei and Uttam Singh entertained the gathering with their melodious songs.
Manipur University students also enthralled the crowd with Christmas songs.
