Govt urged to defer action against Lamjingba chairman

Even though the competent authority appointed by Manipur government to look into operation of Ponzi scheme has initiated steps including issuing summon notice so as to take action against Lamjingba Finance chairman Jacky, All Manipur Lamjingba Investors' Association has urged the competent authority (art and culture commissioner) to defer taking action against Jacky for three months.
In a written submission to the competent authority, the association lauded the government for initiating steps to take action against Jacky as per complaints lodged by the investors but urged the competent authority to defer taking action for three months.
Citing the reasons for this, the association said a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on April 21 between the association and Lamjingba Finance represented by chairman and director.
Accordingly, a data containing assets of Lamjingba Finance amounting around Rs 252 crore has been collected and enquiry on collection of assets of Lam -jingba Finance by investors underway, the written submission said and urged the competent authority to defer taking action against Jacky till completion of the enquiry.
It then urged the government not to initiate investigation against Lamjingba Finance for three months effective from May 5.Mention may be made here that the competent authority appointed by Manipur government to look into operation of Ponzi scheme namely M Joy (commissioner art and culture) summoned Jacky (32) of Thoubal Kiyam Siphai Babu bazar to report at its office by 10.30am of May 6 while warning of initiating appropriate action if Jacky fails to do so.
