State Level Sepak Takraw Championships : SWC-A claim mini boys title, SAIRC-A post three straight wins in sub-junior girls event

After PUC mini girls lifted top honour yesterday in the State Level Sepak Takraw Championship being underway at Social Welfare Club (SWC), Hiyanglam Makha Leikai playground, SWC-A mini boys won the title beating PUC by 2-1 sets today.
In the meantime SAIRC-A, Imphal won three games on the trot in the 23rd Sub-Junior girls championship.
SAIRC-A opened the account with a 21-14 16-21 23-21 win over SAIRC-B and grabbed their second win beating SAIRC-C 21-18 21-6 before completing their treble with a 21-15 21-11 win over IMSUC, Heingang today.

The day also saw SAIRC-C beat PUC, Kairang 21-19 21-13 for their first win as IMSUC beat SWC, Hiyanglam 21-14 21-14 in the third match of the competition.
SAIRC-C also sealed an easy 21-6 21-13 win over PUC, Kairang in the fifth match of the tournament.
SWC-A, SAIRC-A reach 23rd Sub-Junior Boys regu event semi-finals SWC-A and SAIRC-A confirmed their places in the semi-finals of the 23rd Sub-Junior Boys regu competition as both teams managed 6 wins each in the 8-team Group B competition.
SAIRC-A having won two matches yesterday carried forward their winning run today beating YAWA, Singjamei 21-15 20-22 21-12 for the third win and HUDIC Heingang 23-21 21-15 for the fourth win.
SAIRC-A then sealed a 17-21 21-19 21-11 win over IMSUC-B, Heingang for the fifth win before completing their sixth win by beating KYDO-A, Kumbi 21-18 21-11 .
SWC-A, who lost and won a match each yesterday, on the other hand secured their second win beating ALSA-B, Top Siphai 21-16 21-10 .
SWC-A too carried forward their semi-final campaign beating PUC-A Kairang 21-10 21-19 before easing to a 21-10 21-14 win over KYDO-B, Kairang for the fourth win.
SWC-A then secured their fifth win beating YAWA, Singjamei 21-13 21-10 before overcoming HUDIC, Heingang 21-16 21-13 in the last league match.
ALSA who have lost four opening games managed to finish their campaign on a high note winning their last three games in the Group B league competition.
Even as they went down to SWC and HUDIC in today's first two games, they thumped KYDO-B 14-21 21-13 21-14 to end their losing streak.
They secured their second win beating YAWA, Singjamei 21-12 21-15 before edging PUC-A, Kairang 21-17 23-25 21-15 in a keenly contested encounter.
YAWA also enjoyed a win in today's opening match beating IMSUC-B 19-21 21-10 22-21 before beating PUC-A 21-12 21-12 for the second win in four matches.
In other Group B league matches, HUDIC beat PUC-A 21-14 21-13, ALSA-B 21-10 23-25 21-16; IMSUC-B beat PUC-A 21-10 21-12 and KYDO-B beat HUDIC 21-15 14-21 21-8, YAWA 21-12 21-13 .
In the only Group A league match of the day, ALSA-A secured a 17-21 21-11 24-22 win over SWC-B .
