JAC demands justice for A Nanao

JAC Against the Killing of Arambam Nanao has demanded that justice be delivered to the victim at the earliest by punishing the accused SI Th Jitendra in accordance with law and sent him to jail, as the judicial enquiry report of the case and the report of Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Kolkata have been submitted to the Court concerned.
In a release, JAC convener Kangabam Ashok Singh recalled that A Nanao was picked up by a team of Imphal police station in civil dress led by SI Th Jitendra from victim's residence on May 2.Later, he was brought back to his house on the same day and asked to hand over gold kept in his house, but Nanao lost consciousness after a few minutes and was taken to RIMS Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Later, examination of his body revealed signs of severe beating all over his body, Ashok said.
The JAC further appealed to the chief minister N Biren to honour the agreement reached with the JAC and provide a suitable government job to the victim's wife as soon as possible.
