House passes 5 demands; three Bills tabled

Imphal, July 29 2022:
On the 5th day of the Assembly Friday, five Demands for Grants amounting Rs 3607,43,36,000 in total were passed.
The demands were Rs 1482,22,55,000 for medical, health and family welfare services, Rs 419,94,50,000 for labour and employment, Rs 723,91,10,000 for Tribal Affairs and Hills, Rs 237,87,99,000 for animal husbandry and veterinary including dairy farming-and Rs 743,47,22,000 for environment and forest.
Chief minister N Biren moved the demands for passing in the House while Congress MLAs K Ranjit, K Meghachandra, Th Lokeshwar and MLA Surjakumar Okram raised Policy Cut Motions.

M Rameshwar and MLA Paolienlal Haokip made their observations during discussion for passing these demands.
After CM Biren explained on the Policy Cut Motions, the opposition MLAs withdrew their objections and accordingly the House passed all the demands unanimously.
On the other-hand, chief minister N Biren, who is also leader of the House, tabled three Bills during Friday's session of the Assembly.
The Bills are The Manipur Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Fourth Amendment) Biff 2022' (Bill Number 10 of 2022); 'The Manipur Staff Selection Commission Bill, 2022' (Bill Number 5 of 2022); and 'The Manipur Land Revenue and Land Reforms (Seventh Amendment) Bill, 2022' (Bill Number 14 of 2022).CM Biren, who also holds Economics and Statistics portfolio, tabled the Economic Survey Manipur 2021-22 in the House as well.
