Interaction prog, medical camp conducted

Mantripukhri Battalion of IGAR (South) organised an interaction programme with meira paibi, youth club and village development committee of Chingngungkok village at the village community hall in Imphal East district on Friday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that meira paibi groups enjoy an influential stature of reverence in Meetei society, particularly in areas with Meitei inhabitants.
The meet focused upon measures to empower youth and women and also provided a suitable platform for discussion on various issues being faced by the locals.
Altogether, 48 members of meira paibi groups, youth club and village development committee participated in the meet.
Meanwhile, Mantripukhri Battalion organised a medical camp at Riha village community hall in Kamjong district on Thursday to bring awareness among the deprived population of the village who have no access to basic health care services and little knowledge about the common ailments.
The camp also provided a platform to develop better relation and strengthen bond of friendship and mutual respect between the troops and villagers.
A total of 184 people from the village were examined by Assam Rifles medical team for various ailments.
Free medicine and Covid kits were also provided to all during the camp.
