MNCA Plate Tournament: Sunanda's ton fires IBSA to 155 run victory over YAC

Moirangthem Sunanda blasted off a century to guide IBSA, Y urnnam Leikai to an emphatic 155 run victory against YAC, Yaiskul in a Group B league match of the ongoing 6th MNC A Plate Tournament.
IBSA racked up a sublime total of 301 runs for 7 in allotted 40 overs thanks to Sunanda's knock of 101 runs after winning the toss and held YAC to 146 runs within 31.4 overs to secure the first win in the tournament.
IBSA started strongly with Nongmeikapam Komol (44 off 41) and Moirangthem Sunanda gathering 92 runs for the first wicket before Sunanda and Rajababu (35 off 36) forged 98 runs for the second wicket to gather 190 runs in 26 overs.
Confident Sunanda went to establish partnership with Robinson Sanasam (23) who was caught and bowled by Joychandra Singh Sanasam, to take the tally to 231 before he got retired hurt when the scoreboard read 235/3 in 32 overs.
Joychandra who found the breakthrough by dismissing Abocha Laishram went on to claim two more wickets-Usham Gunabanta (3) and Raj Kumar Pritamkumar (28) to complete his four wicket haul for 53 runs and ease the pressure.
Huidrom Guneshwor then caught and bowled Romeo Singh for the 6th wicket before bowling out Manoj Sahani for 21 in the final over to return with the bowling figures of 2 for 49 in 7 overs.
Needing 302 for the win, YAC faltered from the beginning of the chase as IBSA bowlers gave the batters a tough time.
They slipped to 21/2 in 5.1 overs with Manoj Sahani trapping Pukhrambam Priyokumar (12) lbw for the first wicket in the 5th over and Karan Prajapati bowling out Reebanta Yumnam in the first delivery of the 6th over.
David Kangabam (2/39 in 8 overs) then removed Salam Raju for 2 and trapped Dhaneshwor Singh lbw on golden duck to pile further misery on YAC and reduced the team to 80 for 5 in 15.4 overs.
Abocha Laishram tried to anchor with a 58-ball 57 but saw his partners fell cheaply before he was bowled out by Rajababu for the 7th wicket to reduce their rivals to 137 in 28.1 overs.
Rajababu who clinched his first by removing John Oinam (11) for the 6th wicket then led the batting collapse by trapping two batters lbw to come out with the best bowling figures of 4 for 15 in 5 overs.
Maibam Abdul Wakil then set up Amit Singh Maisnam's catch in the 32nd over to wrap up the innings.
Eventually, Moirangthem Sunanda Singh of IBSA was adjudged man of the match.
