Imphal, July 31 2026: The Apex Committee of Meetei IDPs, Manipur has withdrawn its proposed protest scheduled to begin from August 1, with the support of the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), over the non-payment of ration money to displaced persons staying outside relief camps.

In a statement, the Committee said the decision to postpone the protest was taken after the Government began releasing financial assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) .

The Committee expressed its gratitude to the Chief Minister and officials concerned for releasing the ration assistance.

It also appealed to the Government to ensure that the ration money is released in the first week of every month.
