IPAK distributes aid to families of martyrs

Imphal, July 31 2026: The Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) on Friday organised the 3rd phase of the "Aid to Families of Martyrs" programme at Loktak Hall, Manipur Press Club.

The event was held as part of continued support for families of those who died and were displaced since the ethnic violence that began on May 3, 2023 .

The programme was graced by dignitaries, inclding IPAK president Ksh Somorendro, FOH president and IPAK advisor Sapamcha Jadumani, 14 CSO chairman Y Dilipkumar, KIL president RK Sanahanbi, AKSIL president Khamnam Sobhapati, IPSA president M Biseshor, LOYALUP president Y Tiken, ERDO president T Sanajaoba, and ACOAM Lup president Sanjit Soraisham.

Speaking at the event, Ksh Somorendro said the aid was a tribute to the martyrs and those who lost homes due to the conflict.

He added that the 4th phase will be held in September or October.

Aid was distributed to 20 bereaved families.
