JAC demands probe into Malemnganba's death

JAC formed in connection with the death of one Sanasam Malemnganba (21), son of S Inao of Sa-wombung Awang Leikai, whose body was found near Sajiwa Jail under Lamlai police station on Monday, has demanded investigation into the suspicious death, and warned of launching agitation if the demand is not fulfilled.
Speaking to the media, JAC convener Lamlenpokpa informed that Malemnganba received a telephone call from one Khundrakpam Nanao (21), son of Kh Ingocha of Sawombung Thongkhong around 8:30 am Monday telling him to come out of his house.
At noon, Nanao called up Malemnganba's family informing that he is lying unconscious near Sajiwa Jail.
The family members immediately rushed to the spot but could not find both of them.
Later, the body of Malemnganba was found near Sajiwa Jail, he said.
Lamlenpokpa alleged that the body had bruised marks on face, head and other parts of the body.
In view of this, the government and authority concerned must investigate the matter at the earliest and if no culprits could be identified till July 8, then they are ready to launch various forms of agitation.
