Fate of 12 Parl secretaries to be decided on July 26

The Supreme Court of India will announce its final judgement on the writ petition filed by Congress MLA DD Thaisii pleading for disqualification of 12 parliamentary secretaries as well as on the Special Leave petitions (SLPs) filed by state government and MLA Susindro on July 26.The apex court has been hearing the three petitions by clubbing it together.
An order issued by the Supreme Court regarding the cases informed that final disposal of the case will be done on July 26.Congress party spokesperson N Bhupendra Meetei tweeted this from his tweeter account on Tuesday.
Mention may be made here BJP MLAs including L Susindro, N Indrajit, L Rameshwar, Th Satyabrata, H Dingo, Dr S Ranjan, S Subashchandra and K Robindro, three Naga People's Front (NPF) MLAs including K Leishiyo, Khasim Vashum and Awangbow Newmai and independent candidate Ashab Uddin were appointed as parliamentary secretaries by the BJP led coalition government in the state.
The High Court of Manipur in a judgement declared that Manipur Parliamentary Secretary (Appointment, salary and allowance and miscellaneous provision) Act, 2021 and The Manipur Parliamentary (Appointment, salary and allowance and miscellaneous provision) Act, 2018 are invalid and unconstitutional.
Moreover, the petitioner Congress leader contended that the MLAs who were appointed as parliamentary secretaries should be disqualified as their posts are office of profits under Article 191 (1) (A) of the Indian constitution.
