Imphal, July 06 2021:
All India Youth Federation, Manipur State Council (AIYF MSC) is going to undertake various campaigns in the state as a part of the seven-day long nationwide campaign of All India Youth Federation (AIYF) on unemployment, hike in fuel prices and vaccination.
In a release, AIYF MSC secretary Kh Himalaya stated that the nationwide campaign focuses on three issues including implementation of Bhagat Singh National Employment Guarantee Act (BNEGA) for unemployed youth of the country; rolling back of price hike of petrol, diesel and LPG and providing of universal free vaccine to all.
The country will never develop if employment opportunities are not created for its youth.
The central and state governments must also withdraw the steep increase in prices of petrol, diesel and LPG at a time when people are hard hit by Covid-19 pandemic, it added.
AIFY MSC also lambasted the statements made by some leaders of the state government regarding vaccination calling it shameful.
Statements such as PDS rice will not be provided to people who are not vaccinated, reward will be given to assembly constituencies which achieve high rate of vaccination and providing compensation for any deaths in ACs where vaccination has been done is creating confusion, raising question on the efficacies and safety of the vaccines being administered, it noted, while posing where will the money come for such rewards.
AIYF further appealed to the public to support the seven days nationwide campaign.
