Highest number of infections since June.
Highest daily positivity rate since June and this is how the daily Covid figure worked out on July 6 .
Out of a total of 5,069 samples tested in the last 24 hours 863 returned positive results, making it the highest number of cases on a day since the month of June in Manipur.
The daily positivity rate also struck the highest bar with 17.0 percent.
This is way above the then highest daily positivity rate recorded on June 21 with 15.54 percent.
During May, Manipur witnessed some of the highest daily positivity rate with May 5 returning a figure of 20.43 percent daily positivity rate and May 12 reporting a daily positivity rate of 18.92 percent.

On May 19, the figure was 19.44 percent.
Along with the highest number of cases on a single day and highest positivity rate on a day, July 6 also recorded 14 deaths making it the highest number of deaths recorded on a day in July and the month is just beginning.
Quoting the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the COVID-19 Common Control Room today said that Manipur reported 14 deaths in the last 24 hours.
May also saw the highest number of deaths on a single day with May 19 reporting 23 deaths.
Those who passed away belonged to Imphal West (2), Imphal East (5), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (1) and Kangpokpi (2) .
They passed away at RIMS (5), JNIMS (3), Shija Hospital (2), Raj Medicity (1), Home Isolation (2) and Thoubal District Hospital (1).With the addition of 14 more, the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 now stands at 1218 .
On the other hand, a total of 863 persons including 25 Central security personnel tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Out of the 838 civilians who tested positive, 396 were women.
The positive status of the 863 persons were confirmed at RIMS (12), JNIMS (59), District Hospitals (591) and other testing centres (201) .
The 838 positive persons from the general population are from Imphal East (120), Imphal West (298), Thoubal (71), Bishnupur (73), Kakching (96), Ukhrul (10), Churachandpur (72), Chandel (16), Senapati (9), Tamenglong (16), Tengnoupal (27), Kamjong (1), Pherzawl (3), Noney (15), Jiribam (2) and Kangpokpi (9) .
All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, claimed the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
With 863 more people testing positive the cumulative number of positive cases is now 73,581.On the other hand 592 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours.
They were discharged from home isolation (218), RIMS (27), JNIMS (11), CCCs (139) and CHICs (197) .
The cumulative number of recovered cases is now 66,132 including 3885 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate is 89.87 percent and the number of active cases is 6231 including 94 Central security personnel.
On July 5, a 30,476 people received their vaccination jabs, taking the total to 7,69,107 .
Out of the total 87,428 have received their second dose.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1967 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 485 B Type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health centres across the State.
