Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week ends

A valedictory function of the Vigilance Awareness Week was held on Monday at ICAR Manipur Centre under the theme "Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity".
During the programme all staff of ICAR Manipur Centre adopted the integrity pledge to uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity and to follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life.
During the event, joint director Dr I Meghachandra Singh emphasised upon promoting accountability and curbing corruption in all spheres of life and workplace.
As a vision-driven and value governed organisation, it has always been ICAR's endeavour to achieve excellence with ethics, said a release, adding that through the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, ICAR Manipur Centre will further reiterate its commitment towards building a self- reliant India, he said.
While stating that ICAR is committed to remain vigilant, transparent and accountable for its actions to stakeholders and the society at large, he also informed that to raise awareness on vigilance, ICAR has also undertaken various employee engagement programmes like fixing of banners and displaying of posters to educate both external and internal stakeholders on the significance of the Vigilance Awareness Week.
The Vigilance Awareness Week is also observed across five locations of ICAR-KVKs in the state, the release added.
