69 Bn CRPF conducts cleanliness campaign

69 Battalion CRPP of IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector led by its commandant Bajrang Lal observed 'Swachhata Pakhwada' with focused participation of all officers and personnel along with enthusiastic support of the local populace and students to promote the event to make the country neat and clean.
According to a release issued by the commandant, the Battalion strives to achieve cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene in the nearby schools and religious institutions.
In continuation of its initiatives, the focus is not only on maintaining cleanliness, creating community awareness and delivering of lecture by the officers to encourage jawans and locals but also placing hoardings at prominent places to spread awareness about cleanliness as well as road march in nearby area.
Stating that the Battalion is enthusiastically organising various activities for the realisation of the campaign's objective, the commandant stressed that as children and youth are the real change maker' of the future they must be empowered, enriched and adequately encouraged when ever there is any initiative towards creating any kind of awareness on any issue.
Realising the significance of this important social obligation, the Battalion celebrated Swachhata Pakhwada with the children and youth and organised a cleanliness drive in the nearby Kali Mandir, Lamlongei Primary School and local community hall.
The youth and children were awarded with appreciation certificates by the commandant for their enthusiastic and voluntary participation in the event, added the release.
