Imphal, December 04 2022: The 6th edition of Singju Festival 2022 will be held from December 28 till January 8 next year at Heingang Marjing Polo Complex, said P Bimola, Adhyaksha Imphal East Zilla Parisad, who is also chairman of the Singju Yokhatpa Lup (SYOL) .

She said this in a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today afternoon.

Speaking to the media persons, Bimola said the first Singju Festival was organised by the Singju Festival Committee under Singju Yokhatpa Lup in 2016 with the aim to promote the indigenous food and culture.

In the 6th edition, different varieties of Singju will be made available for visitors.

The festival will also showcase other indigenous food items, handloom and handicraft products.

During the 12 days of the festival, events like Singju Run, friendly football matches, tree plantation programmes, Singju Cycle Rally and Miss Singju contest will also be held, Bimola said.
