Langthabal AC candidates bat for progressive changes

The four candidates who are in the fray for Langthabal AC in the state legislative assembly election shared their views and visions to The People's Chronicle.
BJP candidate Karam Shyam said that he is contesting the election to bring positive change and development in the society.
Along with launching projects/scheme aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and tapping talents of the youth emphasis would be towards overall development of the state, he said.
According to INC candidate Okram Joy he is contesting the election so as to contribute at his level best to solve the political problems afflicting the state and pledged to will try to revive the lost political dignity of the constituency, bring massive political change with a vision of saving Langthabal and Manipur.
He continued that he always strive for saving democracy and upholding the constitution so as to help bring good governance.
Emphasising on bringing progressive change and to make a self-reliant state, NPP candidate Karam Nabakishore Singh said his other priorities would be providing potable drinking water, improving condition of the roads, health sector, education and economy of the poor people if elected.
He shared that he has visions for protection of minority communities.
Meanwhile, independent candidate Hijam Somorendro said decision to join electoral politics is based on working for the welfare of the people.
The first priority will be to save the youth from addictive substances, enhance economy of the youth by providing skill development, Somorendro said, while adding t-hat he will focus on education sector also for bringing overall
development in the state.
