Imphal, February 17 2022:
RPI-A candidate for Lamlai assembly constituency Mongjam Poireihanba has called upon the people of his constituency to reject candidates, who have won past elections, remained silent for the whole term and came out just before the election to buy votes by using money power.
Addressing a one-day political conference held at Yourabung High School ground on Thursday, Poireihanba said that Lamlai AC has suffered the most in the past few years due to incompetency and lack of commitment on the part of the elected representative.
The MLA has not taken up any development initiatives in the constituency.
On the contrary, he, as a social worker, had taken up various development initiatives in the constituency for the past 10 years and it is time for the public to reject the sitting MLA, Poireihanba said.

The party has been working for the welfare of the society, youth, women and children, he said and urged the people of Lamlai to elect Poireihanba while assuring of bringing industrial development in the constituency if he got elected.
RPI-A state president Maheshwar Thounao-jam said that all the nine candidates of the party in the fray have high probability of winning the election.
He also nailed Poireihanba as a dynamic and committed person, who respects public sentiment.
