AMWJU, EGM condole Laishram Regan

Imphal, October 21 2022:
All Manipur Working Journalists* Union (AMWJU) and Editors' Guild Manipur (EGM) expressed deep condolences on the sudden and untimely demise of Laishram Regan, sub editor of local daily Morning Bell.
Regan of Khurai Lairikyengbam Leikai, Imphal East passed away due to an illness at Raj Medicity, North AOC on Wednesday.
He is survived by his minor daughter and wife.
AMWJU and EGM jointly conducted a condolence meet chaired by AMWJU president Wangkhemcha Shamjai at Manipur Press Club, here, on Thursday and observed a two minute silence in honour of the departed soul.
Partici-pants of the condolence meet recalled Regan's contribution in the field of journalism and said that his demise is a loss for journalist fraternity of the state.
Laishram Regan started his journalistic career with The People's Chronicle as sub editor and later joined Morning Bell in the same post.
Meanwhile, entire staff and management of The People's Chronicle condoled the sudden and untimely demise of Laishram Regan and observed a two- minute silence in memory of the departed soul.
They also shared the grief of the bereaved family.
