School offers free education to Kabui students

UNACCO group chairman and managing director Ningombam Irabanta has assured of providing free schooling to any student of Maibam Kabui Khul, who wants to study at UNACCO School.
Saheed Madhumangal Foundation, Imphal in association with locals of Maibam Kabui Khul organised a tree plantation drive at Maibam Lotpa Ching in Bishnupur district on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ningombam Irabanta informed that the tree plantation drive was organised in remembrance of Saheed Madhumangal.
He then assured of providing free schooling to the students of Maibam Kabui Khul, which has around 15 households, if they want to study at UNACCO school.
Regarding the village, the managing director said that as the village has historical connections, it could be set up as a tourist spot, for which he assured of extending all help possible.
Retired IFS Th Mohendro Pratap appreciated Saheed Madumangol Foundation for organising the plantation drive.
He further appreciated the various initiatives taken up the Trust in the village, while urging the villagers to avail the various schemes launched by the government and help in making the village self-sus-tainable.
Protecting the ecosystem of Maibam Lotpa Ching will ensure quality air and water for the villagers, in addition to good health, he said and urged all concerned to make effort for environmental protection in all areas of the state to prevent climate change and extinction of various species.
In his speech, Maibal Kabui Khul chief PK Maipak highlighted the importance of Maibam Lotpa Ching, equating it as an abode of the almighty.
He then urged all for maintaining the growth of the fruit bearing tress which were planted during the drive.
The drive was also participated by RSS pracharak L Jatra and locals.
