Manipur falters in upload of GPDP on portal

When most of the states and Union Territories have reached final stage of uploading Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) on the eGramSwaraj portal launched by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to make the people fully aware about GPDP and activities, Manipur lags far behind.
In a written reply regarding the eGramSwaraj portal in the Rajya Sabha, Union minister of state for Panchayati Raj KM Patil informed that Manipur has a total of 3812 Gram Panchayats including TLB.
However, only 758 GPs of the state uploaded GPDP for the financial year 2022-23 on the eGramSwaraj portal till February 5, 2023.He also informed that Manipur had 28,782 plan activities for the same financial year.
According to the minister, some states/UTs have almost reached final stage of uploading GPDP on the said portal and they are Andaman & Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J & K, Jharkhand, Kerala, Ladakh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Telenga-na, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh.
Among the North Eastern states, Arunachal Pradesh has a total of 2108 GPs including TLB out of which 1955 GPs had uploaded GPDP.
Of the total 2663 GPs in Assam, 2191 had uploaded GPDP while 763 out of 834 GPs of Mizoram had uploaded GPDP, the minister informed, adding that there is no report for Meghalaya and Nagaland states.
He also said that the ministry regularly monitors the planning & implementation of the GPDP in the states/UTs and issues suitable advisories to states/UTs from time to time as required through eGramSwaraj application.
