Susindro assures guest house for Meetei diaspora

While acknowledging the accommodation problem faced by Meetei people set tling outside Manipur when they come visiting the state, CAF & PD and PHE minister L Susindro has assured that a guest house for the Meetei diaspora would be constructed at a proper location in Khurai assembly constituency.
Minister Susindro along with Rajya Sabha MP and titular king Sanajaoba Leishemba inspected Puthiba Shanglen and Meitei Leikai pond in Abhoynagar, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday as part of their Bangladesh tour.
On the sidelines of the inspection, minister Susindro said that Meetei people settling in Manipur and outside need to work collectively to develop the community.
Meetei people settling in Bangladesh and Tripura could conveniently come to Manipur till the Khongsang rail station, he said and assured of arranging vehicle from his side for coming to Imphal from Khongsang.
According to Susindro, as Meetei people settling in Bangladesh, Tripura and Assam face accommodation problem when they visit Manipur, a guest house for them would be constructed at the soonest possible.
He also appealed to Meetei people living in Bangladesh, Tripura and Assam to contact the titular king for accommodation when the guest house is constructed and called upon all the Meetei people settling in Tripura to help each other in preservation and promotion of indigenous culture and tradition for the sake of failure generation.
