AR holds meet with ESM, village heads

Imphal, October 29 2022:
In order to maintain the spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie among ex-servicemen (ESM) and Assam Rifles, Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles and IGAR (South) organised an 'ESM meet' at Chandrakhong COB in Thoubal district on Friday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the meet had healthy participation of ESM of both Assam Rifles and Army.
The meet provided the platform for discussion of various issues being faced by the ESM and a total of 21 ESM attended the event.
The gathering appreciated the sustained efforts of the Keithelmanbi Battalion in maintaining security and peace in the area.
The event stimulated awareness in the minds of all present in the meet and all members assured to provide full support and assistance to the Assam Rifles.
On the other-hand, Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted security meeting of heads of different villages at Larong COB to discuss security coordination aspects on Saturday.
Various projects pertaining to village development like cleanliness and education were discussed during the meeting.
The village authorities expressed their gratitude towards the Assam Rifles for helping the locals through various projects and providing timely medical assistance and assured their continued cooperation to the security forces with the common cause of maintaining peace and harmony in the areas the PRO said in another release.
