Longpi Village Authority seeks intervention in PHSC construction

The Longpi Village Authority has appealed to the Health & Family Welfare Minister, Government of Manipur to construct the proposed building of PHSC at the original worksite as per the Government order in Circle Head Quarter (Longpi village) .
In a release, Kailal Th Gangte, chief/chairman of Longpi Village Authority, Nungba Sub-division, informed that as per an order issued on November 9, 2021, by the official concerned, the proposed building construction of PHSC has been shifted to a newly proposed village called Haran which is 2 km away from Circle Headquarter (Longpi village) .
"The proposed construction was shifted without the knowledge of the chief and villagers of Longpi in particular and the State Government in general without any reason", it added.
The village chief also pointed out that under the able leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh, creations or proposals of new villages are restricted until further order.
"The proposed site of construction of a new PHSC building at the newly proposed village is unacceptable and will be creating more inconvenience to the villagers", it added.
The Longpi Village Authority further urged the Health & Family Welfare Minister to look into the matter and take necessary action to prevent any misunderstanding or unwanted consequences in the future.
