Imphal, October 29 2022:
While reminding the Government to fulfil the charter of demands it placed earlier, the All Manipur Health Services Doctors' Association (AMHSDA) has cautioned of launching a series of agitation from tomorrow (October 30) if the demands are not heeded.
A press release jointly signed by AMHSDA president Dr L Arke Singh and general secretary Dr Lolee P Mao said that more than 90 per cent of MHS doctors are non specialist and are not doing any private practice and have very little promotion scope to the next grade.
AMHSDA then urged the Government to ensure time bound promotion of doctors, raise superannuation age to 65 years for specialist and non-specialist doctors as in the cases of JNIMS doctors and many States in the country and fix NPA with effect from January 1, 2016 as per Central pay commission.
The association further appealed to the Government to create Director General post, abide strictly to the transfer and posting policy of Health Services 2017, implement proposed MHS Rules 2020 and amendments and provision of risks and difficult area allowances.
