BJP candidate vows social change, justice

With the issuance of notification for the 2nd phase (March 3) of state elections on Friday, electioneering campaign has gained momentum in Noney district, with house-to-house visits and campaign by the candidates and their supporters intensified.
A flag hoisting cum election campaign programme for BJP candidate Dinganglung Gangmei, who is contesting from Nungba (ST) assembly constituency, was held on Saturday at Longmai Part-3, Noney town.
The programme was organised by BJP Longmai (Noney) Booth Level Committee.
Speaking at the event, first-timer Dinganglung alias Dipu Gangmei, a retired IAS officer, informed that he took voluntary retirement from his service and entered electoral politics to serve the downtrodden people as a part of the national building activity.
The candidate also maintained that he has a long-term vision to bring changes and check corruption in the society.
As information technology has brought the world closer like one global village, educated youth need to be provided jobs, he opined and assured that if elected, he will focus on education and health sectors.
The BJP candidate continued that Nungba Kendra has produced many prominent leaders like late Prof Gangmumei Kamei and freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang who were known for their many good deeds and patriotism, and he urged the gathering to have a sense of patriotism and unity in the society.
He assured the voters of bringing change and social justice.
Dipu further assured the gathering that if he gets elected he will work for infrastructure development and social uplift of the newly created district, while thanking bo,th the central and state party leaders of BJP for allotting him party ticket.
The programme was also attended by Daniel Malangmei, president BJP Tamenglong district, Meirijin Phaomei, ex-ADC member, KG Daisinlung, ex-ADC member and other BJP leaders of Nungba Kendra.
