Imphal, February 05 2022:
Spokesperson of NPP Manipur State Ashang Kasar has tendered his resignation from the primary membership of the party.
In a letter addressed to the president of NPP State unit, Ashang Kasar said that he hadn't received any invitation for the recent NPP's programme.
Claiming that he was denied permission to meet NPP National president Conrad K Sangma on February 3 and to contest election from Phungyar AC on the party ticket Ashang Kasar accused Y Joykumar of playing family politics.
He further claimed that the statement given by J Joykumar, "the Meitei and Meitei Pangal shall be enlisted in the Scheduled Tribe list" is his self propaganda and not of the party.
"I have worked with the party's ideology and principles till date.
The act of a few corrupt leaders within the party makes me feel that I have not sought the right party," he said.
