SHADC introduces Centralised Combined Competition

Centralised Combined Competition/Examination has been introduced by Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (SHADC), Kangpokpi.
A brainchild of SHADC chief executive officer James Doujapao Haokip, the Centralised Combined Competition has been introduced by the young and dynamic MCS officer with an aim to increase the competition level among the students and schools under the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi.
"The requirement to motivate and strengthen the education system under Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi is strongly felt which ultimately led to the introduction of the Centralised Combined Competition," said the MCS officer.
He continued that the Centralised Combined Competition/Examination will be conducted for students of Classes I to VIII at a common venue/centre as fixed by the SHADC, Kangpokpi administration.
He further said that as the Centralised Combined Competition will cover Class I-VIII, its syllabus will be a school/class-based syllabus while the common questions for the competition will be set by the SHADC.
He also informed that the competition/examination will be held tentatively in the first week of November 2022 and all schools under SHADC will cover the syl labus before the conduct of the Centralised Combined Competition/ Examination while adding that each school will select and send four best students from each class (Class I to VIII) for the competition.
Under the Competition, first position holders from each class will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each with a certificate while the second and third position holders from each class will receive Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively, with a certificate each.
Apart from that, a cash prize of Rs 25,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 with a certificate each will be awarded to the first, second and third overall three best schools.
The best assistant inspector of schools will also be awarded a cash prize of Rs 7,000 with a certificate.
The CEO also instructed all the schools under SHADC Kangpokpi to participate in the Centralised Combined Competition without fail.
He further informed that from the next academic session, the performance of schools/students in the Centralised Combined Competition will be taken into consideration for providing additional facilities to schools.
The MCS Officer also instructed all the assistant inspectors of schools and headmasters/headmistress to ensure all syllabi are timely covered before the Centralised Combined Competition/Examination while informing that sample of questions should be sent to all the schools by September 2022 and any further information or modification will be informed from time to time.
