Manipur emerge team champions at Senior National Judo Championship

Imphal, August 19 2022:
Manipur were crowned overall team champions of the Senior National Judo Championship 2022 which wrapped on Friday at Lucknow.
The state team rounded off their triumphant campaign with six medals including three gold.
They added one gold and one silver medal on the concluding day.
Both medals on the third and last day were won in the women's competition.
T Inunganbi Devi won the gold medal in the 70kg category while L Roshini Devi claimed the silver medal in the 78kg category.
It was a double delight for T Inunganbi as she was adjudged best woman judoka.
Earlier on Thursday, Manipur collected four medals including two gold.
H Sunibala Devi made her mark in the women's 63kg category by claiming the gold medal and T Inunganbi Devi earned the podium honours in the women's 70kg category.
K Bishal Singh bagged the silver medal in the men's 66kg event and L Nungshitho Chanu settled for bronze in the women's 52kg competition.
