Orientation prog conducted at Mt Zion college

A two-day orientation programme for students and teachers on improving self-awareness, skill-set and readiness to face the future commenced from Friday at Mt Zion college, Kathikho Karong, Senapati.
Professor Dr Ginlianlal Buhril of Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam, who was resource person of the programme, drew attention of the students by asking them to reminisce the turning points in one's life.
A survivor of Covid-19, the resource person said that overcoming the viral infection was a turning point of his life.
He also urged the gathering to practice again and again until one masters in a held.
He also highlighted some points to consider while facing interview like communication skill, domain subject knowledge, awareness about one's environment, personality and attitude.
While drawing the attention of all to possess the willingness to take up responsibilities, the resource person stated that anyone cannot be called great if one cannot bear a crisis and asked all to grab the opportunity when available.
He stated that all members in a family should hold their positions very well for the progress of the family.
About a better world, the professor stressed on the need to change oneself for better in every possible way and the best way to beat the system at present is to study more.
While hoping to see some rank holders in the university-exams from the college, the professor also advised the students to prepare well in their studies by maintaining day to day assignments and learning each single day.
An interaction programme was also held during the programme with some innovative questions coming from the students.
Mt Zion College principal Dr Siba Lohrii delivered the welcome address and said that students of the college are fortunate to interact with the dynamic orator whose inspiring speech would enable everyone to face the future very smoothly.
He also asked the students to take in whatever the resource person said in the programme.
