NSUC against admission of non-residents to JNV Chandel

Naga Students' Union Chandel (NSUC) has re-affirmed its stand against allowing non-resident students of the district to be admitted to JNV even if they cleared the recently conducted Class VI entrance exam on the ground that it is against the eligibility criteria set by JNV authorities.
In a release, NSUC pointed out that since its creation on May 13, 1974, Chandel district has been reeling under various setbacks in the fields of development, infrastructures and many more, and it started seeing improvement sluggishly.
Education is and has been an area where the district populace aspire for improvement as there are only few institutes that provide these mammoth tasks till date, the release contin ued, while adding that apart from these few institutes, JNV Chandel stands as the only central institute that serves the whole purpose of the needy and downtrodden students.
However, since its establishment in the year 1998, the school data tells a different tale, as it does not meet the purpose to serve the needy students of the district, the release, contended, while asking all those individuals and associations to immediately cease hindering the smooth functioning of the school atmosphere.
NSUC doesn't wish to see few identified individuals and associations in the periphery of the school as it will invite unnecessary reaction, it made it clear, while urging authorities concerned not to deviate from the directives of the competent authorities.
