UCC storm into Plate cricket final

Imphal, August 19 2022:
UCC (Uripok) pulled off a 44-run win over IBSA (Yumnam Leikai) in the semifinal of the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground on Friday.
Asked to bat first, UCC accumulated a total of 152 for 8 in 30 overs.
Roshan Das led the UCC innings with a fine knock of 62 off 68 runs, with contributions from Sagolshem Nelson (26), Shyam Kumar Ray (20) and Konsam Gulson (14) .
In the process, the Uripok side lost three wickets to Karan Prajapati, two to Rajkumar Pritamkumar and one to Dilhembung Golmei.
In reply, IBSA wilted under pressure as they were bowled out for 108 in 29.5 overs.
Rajababu (44), Moirangthem Sunanda (23) and Nongmeikapam Komol (10) were the main run-getters in their futile run chase.
For UCC, Thokchom Gulson was the pick of the bowlers with a three-wicket haul as Diamond Moirangthem snapped two wickets, with Arnold Leishangthem, Konsam Gulson and Roshan Das chipping in with one wicket apiece to help their side seal the win en route to the final.
Roshan Das, who hit 62 and took one wicket, walked away with the man of the match trophy.
CDC and KIYC will square off for the, remaining final berth on Saturday, August 20, at Langthabal Public Ground.
