AMSGO for allowing final year students in CCE

Imphal, July 24 2013:
All Manipur Students Guardians' Organization (AMSGO) has observed that Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) should not deprive the opportunities of final year engineering students from appearing in the Common Competitive Examination (CCE), 2013 .
Speaking to media persons at the organization's office at Konung Mamang here today, Yumkham Meera, a Member of the Organisation stated that MPSC is recruiting some posts of Assistant Engineers in departments like Works, PHD, IFCD and Power.
The entrance test will be held between 1st to 3rd August, for which issuing of admit cards has already begun.
But around 181 candidates, who are in 4th year of engineering, have not been issued admit cards.
She pointed out that according to the guidelines of UPSC, final year students are allowed to appear in such exams and they are allowed to show their qualifying certificates after the written and personality tests.
MPSC should also follow this condition to give the chance to final year engineering students to appear in the CCE-2013 .
Meanwhile, parents of the candidates who are not issued admit cards; have reportedly convened an emergency meeting at Manipur Press Club on 26th July
at 1 pm.
