Flag hoisting of Oinam, Wangkhem AC candidates held

Flag hoisting ceremony of Ngangom Shivakumar, an independent candidate who is contesting election from Oinam assembly constituency, was held at his Oinam residence on Friday.
Speaking at the ceremony held under the theme 'Youth for Change', Shivakumar declared that if elected, he will extend support to the government to be formed in the interest of developing Oinam AC.
He will also focus on youth for betterment of the society.
Ng Shivakumar urged the voters not to get swayed by money power and elect a deserving candidate.
THOUBAL: Flag hoisting ceremony of Kang-abam Jadumani, who is the JDU candidate for the seat of Wangkhem AC, was held at his residence at Charangpat Mamang Leikai in the presence of JDU national general secretary Afaque Ahmed Khan on Friday.
A public meet was also organised after the flag hoisting ceremony at Charangpat High School ground wherein Afaque said that JDU has ruled Bihar state for the past 17 years and its strength is gaining in North East as the party had already produced MLAs in Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh and is sure to have representative in Manipur too.
Formation of a new government in Manipur after the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election would not be possible without JDU, he said and appealed to people to support the party.
In his speech at the public meet, Jadumani said that Wangkhem lags behind other constituencies of the state in every sector.
He also vowed to bring speedy development in the constituency if he got elected in the upcoming election.
