U-16 cricket: RCA down YWC to set up title clash with PCC

Imphal, February 18 2022:
RCA (Lilong) pulled off a 1-wicket victory over YWC (Langthabal) to reach the final of the 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy on Friday at Heinoupok playground.
RCA chased down a 112-run target in 27 overs, with a wicket to spare.
Zamir Khan (19), Md Sohail Khan (16), Md Sharif (14), Md Akip Hussain (13) and Md Danish Khan (10) were run-getters in the Lilong side's successful run chase in the second semifinal match of the tournament.
Earlier, RCA bowled out YWC for 111 in 25.3 overs.
Md Aqeel shone with the ball, taking four wickets in his six-aver spell.
Md Akip Hussain also impressed with three scalps, Zamir Khan did his bit with two wickets and Naesh Hussain accounted for one.
YWC's innings saw four of their batters get dismissed for a duck as opener Pukhrambam Rohit Khuman, who scored 44, fell to Zamir Khan.
Seram Robinson made 15 runs and Albert Sorokhaibam collected 11.Albert Sorokhaibam made his mark with five wickets for the Langthabal side but his brilliant speil could not prevent RCA from achieving their target.
Seram Robinson (2 wkts), Sorokhaibam Dailish (1) and Yumnam Achouba (1) were other wicket-takers for YWC in a losing cause.
Md Aqeel, who took four wickets for RCA, was named the man of the match.
RCA will play PCC (Mayaikoibi) in the final on Sunday, February 20 .
