Imphal, February 18 2022:
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president MLA N Loken has asserted that giving NDA another chance to form Government at the Centre would be akin to handing over the country to big corporations.
The MLA said this at the flag hoisting ceremony of INC candidate in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC Dr S Manaoton held today at Mekola Kangjeibung.
Saying that contrary to his own life story, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has disinvested many of the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and handed them to big corporations.
Apart from this, the alliance is not able to deliver majority of its assurances, the MLA said and added that deception and challenging the democratic ethos are traits of the NDA.

With a sole objective to defeat the BJP, 19 political parties across the country have sealed an alliance, N Loken said and continued that the Congress party is committed to defeat the saffron party.
Saying that the incumbent coalition Government led by the BJP will not return to power, the MPCC chief continued that the Congress will take the leading role in forming the next Government.
Asking what noteworthy works the BJP led Government has done in the last five years, the Congress leader questioned if imposition of indefinite blockade due to withholding of MGNREGS funds and bomb explosion in bedroom are achievements to them.
This incumbent Government which promised to generate employment opportunities in terms of lakhs is not able to declare even the result of IRB recruitment, he said.
"They are spending the amount taken from the youth on election campaigning," N Loken claimed.
Further stating that the BJP's manifesto has not mentioned anything about AFSPA which the Congress promised to repeal, the MPCC chief reminded that it was also the Congress which removed the same from seven Assembly Constituencies of Imphal.
The fate of the BJP was sealed the very day the party released its candidates list as they would be battling the candidates who sought its ticket , N Loken said and added that the saffron party will win not more than 15 seats.
For Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC, NPP and BJP will compete for the second spot as the seat is guaranteed for the Congress, Loken claimed and appealed to the electors of the Constituency to support Dr Manaoton to bring forth a new Manipur.
Dr Manaoton stated that the loss of faith towards the BJP has reached Naoriya Pakhanglakpa and as such the grand old party will emerge victorious.
AICC senior observer Jairam Ramesh, general secretary Bhakta Charan Das, MLA AK Mirabai, veteran politician Okram Joy and former MLA RK Anand also took part in the programme.
