BJP will retain power, says Biswajit

Top BJP leaders including state president A Sharda Devi, works minister Th Biswajit Singh and Union minister of state for minority affairs John Barla on Friday campaigned for its candidate Huri Golmei, who will contest from Tamenglong AC.
Speaking at one-day political convention, Biswajit asserted BJP is people-centric as had been proven by the state witnessing significant changes and developments since formation of the coalition government headed by the party.
While reflecting on various achievements and progress made by the party, he expressed confidence that BJP will form the government for the second time.
Biswajit also said that BJP candidate for Tamenglong AC Huri Golmei will live up to the people's expectation and work with dedication to develop the district in all spheres.
The minister then pledged that the party will fulfil all the promises mentioned in its manifesto.
Speaking on the occasion, Huri Golmei conceded that Tamenglong is the most backward district in the state and assured to contribute his mite to facelift Tamenglong.
Raised from a poor family first priority will be uplift of the poorer section of the society, he said and assured to create employment opportunities for the youth.
Huri further elaborated his vision to change Tamenglong by setting up BEd and technical colleges in the district.
Union minister of state John Barla and BJP state chief Sharda also sought the support of Tamenglong people in the upcoming election.
As part of the event, BJP supporters took out a rally throughout Tamenglong town from Jadonang Park, where the convention was held.
The BJP state and central leaders also took part in an election campaign for BJP candidate Dinganglung Gangmei at Khoupum in Noney district.
Dinganglung took voluntary retirement from civil service (IAS) to contest in the upcoming state assembly election from 54-Nungba AC .
