"Highways of Life" selected for FSA'22

"Highways of Life", an award-winning documentary by filmmaker Amar Maibam has been selected for screening at Film South Asia's (FSA) silver jubilee year to mark the 13th edition of the biennial festival of South Asian documentaries.
Out of around 3000 films submitted for the festival, "Highways of Life" was among the 64 selected for screening at the festival.
The festival will commence on April 21 and culminate on April 24, with the awards presentation ceremony.
"Highways of Life" (2019) is a 52-minute long documentary directed by Amar Maibam and produced by Films Division, Mumbai.
It follows the journey of a group of truckers, chronicling their pain and struggles as they do their service of transporting essential commodities for the people of Manipur.
Notably, "Highways of Life" has won the Best Film Award (International Competition) at the 8th Liberation DocFest, Bangladesh, 2020, selected for the International Film Festival of India, Goa, and awarded the Best Indian Documentary at the 26th Kolkata International Film Festival, 2020.It also won four awards in the 13th Manipur State Film Awards, 2020, including Best Non-Feature film, Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.
