RPF celebrates 44th Raising Day of PLA

The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) reportedly celebrated the 44th Raising Day of its armed wing, People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Sunday.
According to a statement of RPF issued by its deputy secretary of publicity Roben Khuman, the Raising Day celebrations were held successfully at PLA's general headquarters, tactical command, strategic command, 252 mobile battalion and other units, departments, stations as well as at party's central bureau and areas covered by SR-1, SR-2, SR-3 and SR-4.Celebration at every venue which was held with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocol began with paying honour and respect to the party's flag and martyrs who laid down their lives during the course of the revolutionary movement, the RPF statement said, adding that people residing under the jurisdiction of Division 2,4,6, 8 and 10 of the party's central bureau put up festoons and stars throughout Manipur to mark PLA's Raising Day celebration.
The message delivered by RPF president Irengbam Chaoren to the people on the occasion was also read out at every celebration venue, the statement said and recalled some key points mentioned in Chaoren's message.
Quoting what Chaoren had said in the message, RPF said that people of India should understand that reinstating Manipur's sovereignty has nothing to do with India's territory and integrity and Manipur became an international treaty making power well before India was born when it was involved in British-Burma (Myanmar) treaty signed on February 28, 1826.The RPF statement then called upon every community inhabiting in Manipur since time immemorial Co unite as one and be ready to sacrifice for the motherland while living together with harmony and success in every aspect of life.
