Imphal, September 07 2015:
Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Manipur Unit on Monday has asked the Chief Minister of Mizoram, Lal Thanhawla to abstain from interfering in the internal affairs of Manipur State.
Spokesperson of LJP, Manipur Unit Ningombam Ibohal during a press meet held here at Manipur Press Club said that the Mizoram CM had recently requested the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to give his assent to the three bills passed by the Manipur Government on August 31 last with an aim to protect the indigenous people of the State.
Such an act was a dishonor to the people of Manipur, said Ibohal while hitting back to the Mizoram CM that Lal Thanhawla should never interfere in the internal matters of Manipur including the recently passed three bills on ILPS.
His request to the PM against the bills shows that the CM has been falsely motivated by few people which LJP Manipur Unite condemns strongly, added Ibohal.
The spokesperson of LJP Manipur Unit also lashed out at former MP from Bihar, Papu Yadav who had threatened to drag out all Manipuris from trains going through Bihar.
He said that such uncivilized statements show his true character.
The former MP who has involved in many criminal cases should avoid national politics on Manipur's matter, said Ibohal.
Ibohal appealed to the Indian Prime Minister to take action against Papu Yadav for his bad remarks on Manipur.
LJP Manipur Unit will soon hold a meeting in connection with the communal statement of the former MP published in the national media and a written report on the matter will be submitted to the LJP National President, added Ibohal.
Recalling the violent incident occurred in Churachandpur district over the three bills passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly, Ibohal said that the Manipuri people are not satisfied with the Chief Minister over the ILPS issue since the CM has failed to bring a solution for all.
Condemning the Manipur Government's delaying tactics on all issues, Ibohal blamed the unserious attitude of the CM who has only invited the aggrieved groups for talks after eight civilians were killed in the violence.
The CM should visit Churachandpur and meet the people to know their intention, said Ibohal and added that people of Churachandpur won't kill the CM.
He also demanded the Manipur Government to regulate the current market prices in the interest of the general public.
