Imphal, September 07 2015:
The Indi-genous Peoples of Kangleipak (IPAK) celebrated its first foundation day at Manipur Press Club today.
IPAK chairman Sapamcha Jadumani, former Minister Dr M Nara and ex-MLA Kh Joykishan attended the function as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr M Nara stated that indigenous people of the land must part ways if their actions tend towards separation even though everyone is talking about oneness.

Saying that all the ancestors of all existing people were tribes, Dr Nara called upon one and all to leave aside the question of being tribes or not.
and work collectively to establish a pro- gressive society.
All efforts would be put in at the political level to pull up Pappu Yadav for searching Manipuri people travelling in trains, Dr Nara said.
Notably, Pappu Yadav set up a political party called Jan Adhikar Party after he was expelled from RJD.
While acknowledging the role of many civil society organisations including IPAK in safeguarding the geographical boundary of Mani- pur, ex-MLA Joykishan urged upon all the communities of Manipur to promote harmony and peaceful co-existence.
Apart from presenting token gifts to leaders of several civil society organisations, hair-cutting materials were distributed to barbers.
Sapamcha Jadumani said that people of Manipur have been struggling for the past 30 years for implementation of ILPS or a similar legislation.
After many people have been killed and properties worth crores have been destroyed, three Bills were passed by the State Assembly recently with the primary objective of providing a consti- tutional safeguard to the indigenous people of Manipur.
Now some sections of people including Nepalese have been openly opposing the Bills.
The issue must be tackled very tactfully by utilizing all the wits and resources, Jadumani said.
