Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit conducted

PHERZAWL: District Administration, Pherzawl organised the 6th District Hill Leaders' Day & 'Meeyamgi Numit' (People's Day) at DC Office Complex, Pherzawl district headquarters on Thursday.
Interacting with the public, Pherzawl SP A Ghaneshyam Sharma, SDO (Tipaimukh) I Dinesh Kumar Singh and other DLOs led by the deputy commissioner Haulianlal Guite ensured accountability for effective services delivery.
The DC also distributed four water pump sets, mustard seeds and pesticides as well as free text books and school uniforms to select beneficiaries.
Various public welfare services were conducted during the programme including registration of villagers for Forest Fire Alert System 3.0 & display of VDVK products by Forest Departments; awareness campaign on POCSO Act, Child Trafficking & Child Rights by One Stop Centre; Skill awareness programme & distribution of SHG grants by MSRLM; Anti Rabies Vaccination Drive by Vety & AH; updation of ration cards of the 300 left out beneficiaries by DSO/CAF&PD; inspection of the on going 100 days w.orks in and around Pherzawl village by PWD; enrolment of CMHT/PMJAY; Aadhaar enrolment & issuance of domicile/tribe/income certificates by the SDO and water quality testing under Swachh Jal Se Suraksha by PHED, apart from providing other healthcare related services especially for the elderly.
JIRIBAM: District administration, Jiribam on Thursday organised the 6th 'Meeyamgi Numit' at DC Complex, Chingdong Leikai.
Additional deputy commissioner Jameson Hangshing, SDPO T Inaobi Singh, MSPDCL DGM Ngasepam Kiran Kumar Singh, SDC (Borobekra) M Devananda Singh and other district level officers of various departments attended the event.
Altogether 19 departments including Health, Social Welfare, Fishery, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Agriculture, Sericulture, MSPDCL, PWD, CAF&PD and Veterinary and Animal Husbandry opened their stalls for delivering public services and hearing public grievances.
Some of the services provided during the event include distribution of 24 sprinkler pump sets under PMKSY Scheme and seven ultra violet films to the selected beneficiaries.
Ag riculture Department also verified farmers for PM-Kisan scheme, while, Health Department issued CMHT card to one beneficiary and six fresh forms of the same.
As many as 121 applications related to issuance of OBC, income, domicile certificates and land records etc., were also received.
Unlike other months, public turnout was comparatively high during Thursday's Meeyamgi Numit.
NONEY: District administration, Noney organised the District Hill Leaders' Day and 'Meeyamgi Numit' with stalls of more than 15 major departments taking part at the multipurpose hall, Longmai-III.
Main departments like Education, Health, CAF&PD, Forests, Social Welfare, NIC etc., opened stalls to provide services to the people.
Verification was also carried out for beneficiaries of the PM Kishan scheme along with distribution of sports materials during the function.
DC Joseph Pauline Kamson also distributed materials to Education Department staff.
Covid vaccination stalls and One-Stop Centre were also opened at the event keeping in view the medical needs of the people.
TENGNOUPAL: The fifth 'District Hill Leaders' Day and 'Meeyamgi Numit' was held at the conference hall of the DC Tengnoupal on Thursday.
SP B Goulianmang chaired the meeting in the absence of DC Ranjan Yumnam, who is on leave.
The meeting was attended by village chiefs, CSOs leaders, public and DLOs.
During the interaction, representatives of banks raised awareness on governmental schemes such as Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PM-FME) and how they can be availed by people.
A total of 24 departments opened stalls to assist and distribute beneficial schemes to the people with Education Department distributing four volleyballs and footballs each; Social Welfare Department received six applications of care giver allowance for person with disabilities and 26 for Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme; Forest Department distributed 471 saplings to 24 individuals; Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) conducted two public awareness programmes, received one Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) application and provided three PMMVY services along with receiving an applica tion for construction of ICDS building at Saivom village; PHED received an application for constructing a new water storage tank at Saivom village; Agriculture Department distributed pea and mustard seeds to 13 beneficiaries each, while MSPDCL received request for electrification of Khangsim Primary School.
The event was attended by 49 people, six villages/localities with three grievances/applications received in written and verbal form.
KANGPOKPI: The 5th District Hill Leaders' Day and 'Meeyamgi Numit' were held at Keithelmanbi community hall, Champhai sub-division, from 9 am onwards on Thursday.
During the programme, various government departments distributed pension cards, widow cards and tribe/income/domicile/PRC certificates while grievances/queries were addressed by the One Stop Centre.
DC Kengoo Zuringla also handed over 15 knapsack sprayers which were provided by the District Agriculture Office to the beneficiaries.
The event was also attended by SP Amrita Sinha, ADC/ADM & SDO/BDO (Kangpokpi) Derick L Khobung, SHADC CEO James Doujapao Haokip, all SDOs, DLOs/representatives, among others.
KAKCHING: District administration, Kakching organised the fifth 'Meeyamgi Numit' from 10 am to 2 pm at DC's Office Complex.
Altogether, 29 departments opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances during the day.
Some of the services provided/grievances addressed included distribution of 22 Food Safety Supervisor Certificates of Competence under Food Safety Programme by Food Safety Administration, Kakching to FBOs who had completed training on food safety (street food vendors); verification of six PMGKY & NFSA ration cards, deletion of four members/beneficiaries and correction of 15 names/addresses by DSO (CAF&PD); Langmeidong CD Block issued two birth certificates and three death certificates; SDO Kakching issued three income certificates, eight birth certificates and one residence certificate; SDO Waikhong also issued one birth certificate and death certificate each, while Kakching Municipal Council issued seven birth certificates.
As many as 33 Old Age Pension Scheme and 10 Widow Pension Scheme applications were received from the general public by District Social Welfare Office, Kakching.
DLOs concerned organised facilitation centres for beneficiary-oriented schemes on the spot.
The total services provided were recorded as 167 during Thursday's 'Meeyamgi Numit' .
KAMJONG: District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit for Kamjong district was conducted by the district administration at Sadhavna Mandap, Kasom Khullen town on Thursday.
DC Rangnamei Rang Peter, SP P Manjit, top police and civil officials and other DLOs of various government departments in the district attended the event.
The programme witnessed attendance of hundreds of people with DLOs opening mobile stalls to cater to the various demands and grievances of the public.
Among the most active stalls were the CMO, ICDS, DSWO, MSPDCL, DAO, District Handloom & Textiles, District Forest Office, CAF& PD, SDO office, etc.
Weavers' cards were issued on-the-spot to four beneficiaries by the DC while CMO Kamjong catered to the numerous health-related grievances on the spot.
DIC, DSWO, DAO, District Handloom and Textiles, etc., were some of the offices more prominent for receiving maximum number of grievances and complaints.
