Mysterious light spotted, could be Agni-5 missile

A mysterious object emitting a trail of light behind created speculations among the people of the state in the wintry evening of Thursday.
Meanwhile, speculations are also being made that the mysterious light could be of Agni-5 ballistic missile tested by the country on Thursday evening.
The light could be seen at different parts of Thoubal, Bishnupur and Imphal West districts.
People shared videos of the unknown flying object emitting a trail of bright light in the dark night sky on social media wondering what could be the strange object.
According to Defence Ministry sources, the Agni 5 missile, which has a range of more than 5000 km, successfully completed the night trial on Thursday evening from Abdul Kalam Island of Odisha.
Even in the dark, it was tested whether the missile can move forward by targeting the enemy precisely or not.
It is known that more sophisticated technology has been used in this missile than before.
The missile test was conducted a few days after a fresh conflict between Indian army and Chinese PLA troops in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.
The Centre had also declared no fly zone in the air space above Bay of Bengal in connection with the missile test.
Another source said that following the situation in Arunachal Pradesh, Indian Air Force has started an air exercise in the whole north eastern region from Thursday and the exercise will continue till Friday.
