Senapati, December 15 2022:
Attending the 3rd State Level Barak Festival 2022 at Khabung Karong as functional president along with Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Ministers, MLAs and several high profile dignitaries, Mao AC MLA Losii Dikho categorically stated that CM Biren's leadership has ushered peace in Manipur and is sure to have a huge impact in resolving the long pending Indo-Naga peace talk.
At the closing ceremony yesterday, former PHE Minister Losii Dikho said Nagas should trust the leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
"Naga people, let us be serious, we have been struggling for 70 years.
We have been facing problems, confusion and misunderstandings which we did not discuss together.
But today, the situation is different" .
Nagas are thankful to Th Muivah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the peace process to another level with constant negotiations and creating a congenial atmosphere to resume the peace talks, he said.
In Manipur, after CM Biren led Government took over in 2017, he started the 'Go to Hills' and reached every part of the hill districts thereby establishing bridges amongst different communities of the State.
Manipur is one of the most peaceful States in the country today, he said.
N Biren, in his first visit to Senapati district as Chief Minister in 2017, during a public reception programme, he "openly acknowledged" the contribution of NSCN (IM) leader Th Muivah in the peace process.
"In order to bring peace and negotiations, Biren is the first CM from the whole of the North East region to speak boldly and clearly on Naga issues.
Therefore we should all acknowledge such leadership to bring permanent peace in
our region," said Dikho.
