KSO conference

The general assembly cum conference of the Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) came to an end today at M Songgel village, Ccpur with the adoption of the KSO constitution amendment, passing the draft constitution of Kuki Research Forum (KRF) and constitution of KRF as an autonomous body, among others.
In an extraordinary resolution passed in the Assembly, the KSO noted with grave concern the action of certain section of the students' community in Bangalore that has vitiated the congenial atmosphere among the Kuki students in Bangalore, a statement issued by the KSO said.
At the same time, the KSO urged all concerned students/visitors to register with the concerned KSO branches in cities outside the State so as to dispel any misunderstanding that may crop up in times of need for KSO's assistance.
The Assembly also resolved the celebration of the KSO Platinum Jubilee in 2015 and subsequently entrusted the KSO (Ghqs) to host the celebration, it said.
Thangsei Haokip, president of KIM with his cabinets attended the conference and exhorted the students and the youths to contribute for the advancement of the society and uphold unity under the Kuki banner.
Significantly, the KSO conferred best outstanding institution awards to four educational institutions�KT Hr Sec School, Kangpokpi; Salt Brook School, Tuibong; Rayburn College, New Lamka and Lodestar Academy, Imphal.
