Imphal, January 11 2014 :
National Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nirmala Sitharaman has charged the Congress Party of totally neglecting the development aspects of the Northeastern States.
She was addressing a public gathering at the one-day political conference cum mass enrolment campaign organized by BJP Manipur Pradesh at Kongba Sadoubung Lampak here today.
Sitharaman further said that the people would suffer if there is no good governance.
The Congress Government has toppled all works done by the BJP Government for the development of Northeastern States.
In fact, the northeastern region has been discriminated by the Congress.
Even, the DoNER Ministry has been undermined by the Congress Government with insufficient allocation of funds, she alleged.
The BJP is committed to work for all communities and uplift the minorities and other weaker sections of the society.
The party's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would be able to lead the country for a new revolution.
He has already proved BJP's commitment for good governance and development in Gujarat.
The BJP under Modi's leadership would surely bring a change in the country after the coming Lok Sabha Election, the National Spokesperson noted.
She further maintained that Modi would visit the State in February and address a public meeting here.
The party is seriously concerned with AFSPA, Indo-Myanmar border dispute and other core issues of the State.
The BJP would surely bring an end to the 'scam-riddled' Congress regime which has caused unprecedented price rise of all essential commodities in the country, Sitharaman added.
President of BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Chaoba said that the end day of Congress Party is approaching.
The recent assembly elections of Delhi and some other states are precursor to the defeat of Congress Party in the coming Lok Sabha Election.
The people now want the corrupt Congress Government to go away and the people-friendly BJP to come back at the Centre.
He also slammed the State Congress Government for failing to implement various schemes and projects in the State.
The National Food Security Act would be futile in the State as the Government cannot even implement the Public Distribution System (PDS) properly, Chaoba asserted.
The political conference was also attended by ex-MLA M Bhorot, Dr RK Ranjan, Oinam Indira and other functionaries of BJP Manipur Pradesh.
