TFOs announce non-cooperation movement

Imphal, July 24 2013:
Unhappy over the alleged indifferent attitude of the Government of India towards the ongoing protest for the removal of R.Sudhan, DC of Ukhrul District, even after imposition of public curfew from July 15 to 16, Tangkhul Frontal Organisations (TFOs) have announced decision to launch non-cooperation movement with effect from July 26 .
In a joint statement signed by Yarthothing Kashung, President of Tangkhul Naga Long (Tangkhul Naga Hoho); Ringluiwon SC, President of Tangkhul Shanao Long (Tangkhul Women League); Ningkhan Shangh, President of Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (Tangkhul Youth Council) and YS Yangmi Khapai, President of Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (Tangkhul Students' Union, the TFOs said that during the course of non-cooperation movement, all the Government employees posted in Ukhrul district should abstain from attending their offices and no general public will be allowed to visit the Government offices.
In case of any violation to this directive the individual will take their own risk and the Government should own the responsibility if any untoward accidents occur during the course of the non-cooperation movement, the joint statement made it clear, while appealing to all the general public and well wishers to extend fullest cooperation.
